Airedale Hospital and Community Charity and The Friends of Airedale, are inviting people in Keighley, Skipton and beyond, to wrap up warm and attend the Airedale Outdoor Winter Market.
The event will take place on Sunday 6 November from 10am-4pm at Airedale General Hospital (West Car Park, P3) in Steeton and will be free to attend.
Visitors will be able to find a range of local businesses selling gifts, crafts, cakes, sweets, games, as well as live music, choirs, and more.
Local businesses already confirmed to hold stalls include: The Stripey Badger Bookshop, Coffee Bean Machine, The Goat Shed Soap, Cones for Occasions, Small Town Resin, HomeBirds, and Homemade with Love by Maxine. You can find all of the confirmed businesses listed at the bottom of this page.
Stall holders will be donating a percentage of their sales to the cause, and visitors will be invited to make a donation to the charities on entry if they wish.
Parking will be free for those attending the event.
Please note: some stalls will only be taking cash, so be sure to bring some cash with you (there’s a cash point at the Co-op across the road from the hospital).
Ciara Walsh from Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, said:
“Airedale Hospital and Community Charity is excited to announce our outdoor winter market with Friends of Airedale which will take place on 6 November. This will be the first large scale event that our charity has run.
“The purpose of our winter market is to raise funds for Airedale Hospital and its community services, but we also wanted to create an event that could bring the Airedale community together. It’s important for our charity to support local people and businesses, so we’re really able to do this with our market.”
Friends of Airedale Chairman, John Lofthouse added:
“We’re delighted to be partners in this first joint venture with Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, the aim of both being to raise money that will ultimately improve the hospital experience for both patients and their visitors.
“It’s going to be a fun, festive day out and we want to invite members of our community, far and wide, to attend. Lots of great local businesses have already signed up to take part and we welcome anyone else interested in taking part to get in touch.”
