Why volunteer?
Volunteering helps to improve mental health and wellbeing, improves confidence, develops skills and of course helps others too!
What will I be doing?
Your role can be varied depending on fundraising requirements at the time. Some of the most common duties are:
- Assisting at stalls/bucket collections, informing the public of the Charity’s work and gaining donations
- Supporting at Charity fundraising events which may include set up of the event, manning stalls and assisting attendees
- Distributing and collecting donation tins
- Delivering flyers, putting up posters
- Attending cheque presentations
- Helping to deliver talks to local community groups and schools
As a volunteer with us, we expect you to be an ambassador for Airedale Hospital and Community Charity within your local area, promoting and spreading the good word of our charity. You play an important role as a link between our Charity and our local communities.
