Local greengrocers and deli Olive and Green, based in neighbouring Silsden was established in 2024 by Nicola Wheeler.
Nicola has raised over £9000 for Airedale’s Haematology and Oncology Day Unit (HODU) through various challenges over the years. There is an AHCC donation tin next to the till at Olive and Green and charity branded tote bags and umbrellas available to buy with funds going to HODU.
Gallagher Family Funeral Directors is a family-run Funeral Directors based in Keighley, specialising in bespoke, person-centred services. The team has been a fundamental supporter of AHCC’s Emergency Department Appeal, helping to transform the Bereavement Suite to better support families during their time of need.
They have also generously delivered two bereavement learning sessions for hospital staff, sharing their expertise and helping colleagues provide compassionate support to patients and families experiencing loss.
Charity of the Year 2025
We were honoured to be chosen by both NRGym and Keighley & Craven Athletics Club as their Charity of the Year for 2025.
Throughout 2025, the NRGym team and its members took part in a series of fundraising challenges through the NRGames, raising vital funds in support of Airedale’s Children’s Unit.
Their enthusiasm, community spirit and commitment to making a difference have not only generated valuable support for young patients and their families but have also helped raise awareness of the charity across the local area.
Keighley & Craven Athletics Club chose AHCC as their Charity of the Year for 2025 and was a fantastic supporter throughout the year.
Club members showed their commitment to supporting Airedale by taking part in fundraising activities and getting involved in our CPR-A-Thon, helping to inspire local schoolchildren while raising awareness of the importance of lifesaving CPR skills.
