Airedale Hospital & Community Charity is delighted to celebrate a successful year as the chosen Charity of 2025 for Keighley and Craven Athletics Club. The club has raised an outstanding £2,970 to support patient care and wellbeing across Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.

Throughout 2025, the club threw its full support behind the charity, arranging track mile events and club races, organising a quiz, and even joining the charity’s energetic 12‑hour CPR‑a‑thon, helping to spread vital lifesaving skills across the community.

Members of Keighley and Craven Athletics Club came together throughout the year with a shared mission to support their local hospital while celebrating the positive impact that sport, teamwork and community engagement can make.

Carla Weatherall, Fundraiser at Airedale Hospital & Community Charity, said:

“We are absolutely thrilled and incredibly grateful to Keighley and Craven Athletic Club for choosing us as their Charity of the Year. They’ve raised an amazing £2,970 through club races, social events, and even joining our 12‑hour CPR‑a‑Thon. Their energy, kindness and enthusiasm have truly made a difference. The funds raised will have a direct and lasting impact on our patients and staff. We can’t thank them enough for their support throughout the year.”

Representing the club, Helen Fuggle, Committee member and Charity Lead reflected on the partnership:

“Supporting Airedale Hospital & Community Charity this year has been incredibly meaningful for our members. Many of us have personal links to the hospital, so contributing through the sport we love has been really special. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved and thrilled to help make a positive difference to our local community.”

The money raised will help the charity to fund specialist equipment, enhance patient experiences, and support staff wellbeing initiatives that go beyond NHS funding – ensuring the best possible care and experience for both patients and staff.
