Over the summer, Lynnda Smith held an open day garden party at her home in Eastburn, and raised over £1,100 for Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, specifically to support staff wellbeing at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The event was a huge success; there was tea, coffee and cake for people to enjoy, and a raffle with some great prizes.
Many local businesses got involved to support the event, including Airedale Tree Surgeons, Martinez Wines, Dales Bank Catering, The Old Bank Cross Hills, Craiglands B&B Grassington, and many more.
Lynnda received a lot of help from friends Patricia Callon, Diana Feather, Patricia Thompson (photographed), as well as Philip Smith, Jill Geary, and Sue Lee.
Lynnda Smith, who hosted the event, says:
“I wanted to organise the event to raise funds for all the staff at Airedale Hospital to thank them for all their care during the pandemic, and continued care.
“It was a great day supported by many friends and people from Eastburn.”
Jodie Hearnshaw, Airedale Hospital and Community Charity manager, says:
“On behalf of everyone at Airedale, I want to thank Lynnda for all of her hard work and for raising a fabulous total of over £1,100.
“The funds will be used to improve the wellbeing of our colleagues at Airedale and our community services.”
