Airedale Hospital and Community Charity returned to Branshaw Golf Club, Oakworth, on Friday 11 September for its annual Charity Golf Day, bringing together local businesses, supporters and golfers for a fantastic day of fundraising and friendly competition.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, along with donations and a raffle supported by local businesses, the event raised an incredible £4,383 to support patients, families and staff across Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
The event was proudly sponsored by Davric Construction Projects (Ltd) and Service Electrical (Bradford) Ltd, who have supported the Golf Day for the third year running.
David Hamer, Director of Davric Construction Projects said: “
“We’re delighted to support Airedale Hospital and Community Charity’s Golf Day for a third year. It’s a fantastic event that brings local businesses together while raising money for a cause that makes a real difference in our community.
It was great to see so many teams taking part, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping the Charity continue its important work across Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.”
Funds raised from the day will help the Charity provide projects, equipment and enhancements that go above and beyond NHS funding, making a difference where it is needed most across the Trust.
Carla Weatherall, Charity Fundraiser added:
“We are absolutely delighted to have raised £4,383 from this year’s Golf Day. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, sponsored the event, donated prizes or volunteered their time. Every pound raised will help us continue to make a difference for patients, their families and our staff across Airedale.”
The event also received fantastic support from LAR Ltd, Marshalls Electrical Services, Bronte Breaks, Bronte Engineering Services Ltd and Bionature, who each sponsored a Par 3 hole.
The raffle and auction were made possible thanks to the generosity of local businesses, with prizes kindly donated by Bracken Ghyll Golf Club, Timothy Taylor’s Brewery, Oldfield Electrical, Watsons Building Services Ltd and many others.
A special thank you goes to the team at Branshaw Golf Club for their fantastic support in making the event such a success. From preparing the course and scorecards to looking after players throughout the day and leading the prize presentation, their warm welcome, enthusiasm and hard work helped create a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
