On Sunday 12 September, fundraiser Alan King ran the Great North Run to support Airedale Hospital and Community Charity and raised over £560.
He ran the race in memory of his dad, Cyril, who sadly passed away in November 2020. Alan and his family made the decision to fundraise for Airedale because it is a local charity and the hospital has seen and supported the family through lots over the years.
Alan said:
“I really enjoyed the race, and ran a personal best. It honestly couldn’t have been any better. I’ve already decided to run the Great North Run again next year, so watch this space!”
