Sovereign Health Care, a West Yorkshire based cash-plan provider have donated an incredible £8,000 to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust as part of a long-standing relationship with the Trust in a bid to support the health and well-being of the local community.
The annual donation was warmly received by Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, the official charitable arm of Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
Jodie Hearnshaw, Head of Charity commented: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to Sovereign for their donation. The donation enables us to fund projects that are over and above NHS provision which we’re grateful to be able to continue providing for our community.
“We’re looking forward to being able to continue providing the added extras that really make a difference to patient care, employee well-being and community services.”
Lianne Robinson, Chief Nurse at Airedale Hospital said: “We are extremely thankful for this generous donation, some of which will go towards enhancing nurse training, especially in palliative care, as well as providing extra equipment for patient treatment.”
Sovereign’s Chief Executive, Neil McCallum, adds: “This recent donation demonstrates our support of the NHS services in the region. To be able to enhance staff training and help to provide additional equipment to hospitals is something we’ve been doing for over 150 years and we’re extremely proud to keep this tradition alive.”
