This year, why not set yourself the challenge of completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks, tackling Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough within 12 hours.

The 24-mile circular through the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park promises breath-taking views, personal triumphs, and great team spirit.

Not only is the walk fully marshalled with refreshment checkpoints along the way but you can also sign up to free training walks beforehand to get you ready and raring to go!

FAQ’s

What does the registration fee include?

  • Marshalled walk with a full support team to provide encouragement, first aid if required and can transport back to the start if you are unable to complete the trek.
  • Access to free build up treks if you want practice before the day
  • Refreshment check points at mile 10 and mile 17
  • Safety briefing at the start of the event
  • Fundraising support
  • Completion medal for all the gloating rights

Is accommodation and transport included in the cost?

Accommodation and transport is not included in the registration fee, there are local hotels, BnB’s and bunkhouses that you can book independently if you wish to. You will need to be at Horton-in-Ribblesdale at the start point on time. (Transport back to the start/finish line if you are unable to complete the trek is included).

Is there an age restriction?

This challenge is for over 16’s only, those ages 16-18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Can I bring my dog?

Our challenge provider does not allow dogs on the event, for the safety of the pooches.

How fit do I need to be?

All fitness levels are welcome but you should be able to complete the walk in 12 hours so training is recommended! Some hill walks are a must, have you tried your local pinnacle walk – Sutton, Cowling and Farnhill are great starters before moving onto bigger accents such as Pendle Hill and Sharpaw or why not try the peaks individually or sign up to the free build up Treks on offer once you sign up for the challenge to get you ready and raring to go!

What happens once I’ve signed up?

We will warmly welcome you to team Airedale! We will send you some information across including a fundraising pack and a JustGiving guide so you can kick start your fundraising off. Once you hit £200 sponsorship, we provide you with a branded technical T-Shirt, for all your social media moments.

What kit do I need?

  • Walking boots or suitable walking footwear
  • Fully charged mobile phone
  • Base layers are recommended
  • Food (lots of snacks to keep you going) and water
  • Walking poles if you wish to use them
  • Hat, gloves, suncream. Plan for all weathers and a full day outdoors.
